I’m looking for recommendations on lunch and maaaybe dinner if the whisky is good. I’m just down for a day for a meeting in the vicinity of Mount Vernon square and DCA. I’m pretty adventurous with food, so do your wurst. Have some albacore pictures for your time:

Last time I was in that part of DC (which isn’t very often) we had lunch at latascausa.com which is down near the Verizon Center. Fortunately there are a lot of places to eat in that area depending on how far you are willing to walk.

Chinatown has lots of good asian places, Busboys & Poets does slam poetry but I’m unsure of their food.

I thought so but wasn’t sure. Last time I was there was when it was not long after the museum opened. I drive past it all the time

I’ve lived in the area for a long time, but I’d never gone until recently with my kids.
